Covenant Health signed a public declaration of commitment to the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace developed by the Canadian Standards Association. The first of its kind in the world, this standard includes guidelines, tools and resources to help organizations promote mental health and prevent psychological harm at work.

Celebrating our people and their contributions—formally and informally—is entrenched in Covenant culture.
Our annual Mission Awards celebrates staff, volunteers and physicians who demonstrate our values in action: Compassion, Respect, Collaboration, Social Justice, Integrity and Stewardship.
Our teams nominate their peers for exemplary contributions, and recipients are announced during a special event. Each Mission Award nominee and recipient is profiled and celebrated, helping us reflect on our values and celebrate team members across the province.
We recognize long-serving staff who have reached milestones from five to 50 years of service with Covenant Health, including retirements. The program celebrates our dedicated staff with small gifts, certificates, recognition through internal communication channels and site-specific events.
We love to see our people grow, and we actively support them through opportunities available to everyone, regardless of role or career stage.
Our staff education fund supports team members to pursue post-secondary certificates, diplomas and degrees, reimbursing up to $2,000 per year.
Covenant Health leaders are committed to helping teams thrive, and that includes mentoring emerging leaders.
Our formal mentorship program develops leadership capacity across Covenant, integrating coaching and knowledge transfer. Mentors are senior leaders, who enjoy developing others and understand the value that coaching can have on emerging leaders.
