In Catholic health, the Good Samaritan story inspires compassionate care. This session explores the “love ethic” and what it offers us in guiding health encounters.
In Catholic health, our emblematic story is that of the good Samaritan. This story tells us to love the stranger and is the basis for compassionate caring. While we use professional obligations, rules, and policies to guide us, we can look beyond to find inspiration in what is called "the love ethic". In this session, we will examine what the love ethic is and what it offers us in health encounters.
