Lunch and learn: The PaRIS study

The PaRIS Study – A look at patient experiences in 
primary care across Canada and around the world

In 2023, the OECD launched the Patient-Reported Indicator 
Surveys (PaRIS) in 19 high income countries, including 
Canada. Primary care clinics across Canada were asked to 
recruit patients aged 45 and older to answer a series of 
questions about their experiences with care and their health 
outcomes. In total, 107,011 people participated across the 
19 countries, with 3,883 from across Canada. 

During this presentation, we will provide an overview of the 
PaRIS findings with a focus on what Canadian participants 
reported on their care. We will also discuss plans for the next 
phase of the PaRIS study.
