Licenses, professional registrations and practice permits
As a condition of employment, staff in certain professions must maintain active professional registration with an approved Alberta regulatory college according to legislation and Covenant Health requirements.
This applies to regulated health professions under the Alberta Health Professions Act and Health Disciplines Act. Other professions governed by government acts and colleges or regulatory bodies may need to provide additional documentation.
You cannot start working until we have verified your information. If you have questions, contact your manager.
Licenses, registration and practice permits
Once you accept your e-offer, upload a copy of your original license, registration or practice permit. Check your email for instructions on where to upload. Ensure your document is readable with no information missing. If this information is not verified before your first day of work, contact your manager to determine a new start date for you.
Incorrect information or expired permits
Contact your professional regulatory college for a new permit before your start date if your:
- name is spelled incorrectly on your permit
- name has changed due to a life event (marriage or divorce) and is not accurate on your permit
- license/registration/practice permit has expired
We cannot accept a license, registration or practice permit if your name is incorrect or if the permit has expired.
Screenshots
If your professional association does not send paper copies, log into your association member profile and provide a screenshot of your license, registration or practice permit.
