Criminal record check
As a condition of employment, all employees are required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check to Covenant Health prior to commencement of any work, including training or orientation shifts.
Processing times may vary between law enforcement offices, or Triton. Request your CRC as soon as possible to allow enough time. If this information is not verified before your first day of work, contact your manager to determine your new start date.
You are also required to disclose any previous convictions, record suspensions or pardons received for charges of sexual assault or other sexual offences to your hiring manager prior to commencement. Any misrepresentation, falsification, failure to disclose or omission of relevant information will result in Covenant Health reviewing the employment relationship and could lead to adverse consequences up to and including termination of employment or placement immediately for just cause.
Criminal record check requirements
A satisfactory CRC must:
- be issued no more than 90 days before and valid on your start day
- be issued by local police, RCMP, or Triton
- be verifiable as an original document or an electronic copy
- include a VSS, where applicable to the position
- indicate results (“clear” or “unclear”) with any follow-up recommendations noted or carried out by the reviewer (such as fingerprinting)
You must cover any costs associated with the criminal record check.
Keep your original CRC documentation for at least six months after your start date. You may be asked to produce it within this time period as part of an audit.
Triton

Upload your CRC
Once you accept your e-offer and you have completed your personal information form, upload a copy of your original CRC. Check your email for instructions on where to upload a copy of your original CRC.
