The following guidelines will help you make your visit as pleasant as possible:
- Please respect all visitors, staff and residents.
- For their own safety, children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Check with our volunteer co-ordinator at 403.382.6414 if you would like to bring a pet during your visit.
- You are welcome to use the outdoor areas for visits.
- Visiting hours are flexible; however, in some circumstances, they may be restricted due to a resident's condition.
- To maintain confidentiality, please don’t enter administrative areas.
- Check with a nurse before bringing in food, drinks, candy or cigarettes.
- The attending physician must approve medications brought into the centre.
- If you need supplies for caregiving, please obtain them from the care staff.
- Vending machines (soda and snacks) are available on the nursing floors.
Stop the spread of germs
- For the safety of our patients and residents, we encourage you to clean your hands when you visit. See our guide to clean hands for information on protecting yourself and your loved ones.
- If you’re sick, wait and visit your loved one when you’re feeling better. If you must visit and you’re coughing or sneezing, consider wearing a mask to protect your loved one.
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and then discard the tissue. If you don’t have a tissue, sneeze or cough into your upper sleeve or elbow.
- Clean your hands often with soap and water or hand sanitizer, especially after coughing or sneezing.

We offer free visitor parking, including accessible parking stalls, in the south lot between our building and Martha’s House. Pink visitor parking is timed for two hours.
Please let our administrative staff know if you intend to leave your car in the lot for an extended amount of time.

Parking passes
See security or a unit clerk for a parking pass. The pass must be placed on your dashboard. It is the property of St. Michael’s and must be returned when your loved one is discharged.
