The Grey Nuns Community Hospital provides services for expectant patients and babies before, during and after birth on an inpatient and outpatient basis. We support you and your baby with care based on your needs.
We are a Baby-Friendly designated hospital, and we provide only semiprivate and private rooms for labour and delivery and postpartum care.
Our antepartum unit cares for patients with pregnancy-related complications.
Early pregnancy loss
We offer compassionate care for patients and families who experience a loss during early pregnancy.
Labour and delivery unit
We offer options for labour induction, anesthesia and caesarean section surgery (elective, urgent or emergency). Our unit also cares for mothers and newborns after birth (postpartum care).
Obstetrical outpatient clinic
Our outpatient clinic offers assessment and triage to expectant patients who are more than 20 weeks pregnant. We are open 24 hours a day to assess labour and pregnancy-related concerns.
- anesthetic consults
- assessments for patients having an elective caesarean section (C-section)
- fetal monitoring and nonstress testing
- help with medication
- obstetrical triage
- preadmission clinic for caesarean sections
You will need a doctor’s referral to use some of our services (e.g., fetal monitoring, induction and caesarian sections). Contact your doctor for more information.
