Karl Germann
Board member
Karl Germann is a graduate of the University of Regina, earning both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in education, and a bachelor's at the University of Saskatchewan. His career began in the classroom as a high school teacher, and later he would move into administration, including assistant superintendent and superintendent of schools in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He is an educational consultant for the Alberta Schools Boards Association and a law and ethics instructor for the University of Alberta.
Karl was elected president of the College of Alberta School Superintendents and the Council of Catholic School Superintendents, giving him exposure to a wide variety of leadership styles and personalities who collectively assisted him in his growth as an educator and leader.
Karl is an active member of St. Joseph Parish, the local Grouard-McLennan Covenant Health Board, and the Knights of Columbus. Previously he was active in Rotary, the Education Foundation and other community organizations.
