The Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre serves a diverse population of residents. It has 439 long-term care beds, 26 palliative care beds and 30 restorative care beds. The centre is located in downtown Edmonton, close to transit and entertainment hotspots.
The Grey Nuns Community Hospital is a 363-bed site located in southeast Edmonton. It offers programs and specialties such as an emergency department, cardiac care, neonatal intensive care, women's health, mental health, palliative care and surgery. It is also home to the Northern Alberta Vascular Centre.
The Misericordia Community Hospital serves the west Edmonton area with 312 acute care beds. The hospital offers many programs and specialties, including an emergency department, child health clinic, cardiac care, neonatal intensive care, women's health, surgery, a comprehensive breast cancer program and the Institute for Reconstructive Sciences in Medicine.
Located in south Edmonton, St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital has 188 long-term care beds, 14 palliative care beds and a community day support program. It offers 24-hour nursing care to residents with complex needs.
Villa Caritas is an inpatient geriatric psychiatry centre with 150 beds. The only facility of its kind in Alberta, it cares for seniors with complex mental health needs, working with them to re-enter the community.
