                    Castor is a rural community located 143 kilometres east of Red Deer. It is home to around 1,000 people.

                    Along with the local library and museums, residents can enjoy recreation such as golf, swimming, camping, skating and curling.

                    Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital serves Castor and beyond. The hospital offers a range of services, including emergency care, diagnostic imaging, family medicine and palliative care. It has five acute care beds and 22 continuing care beds.
